68 Scripts for a Series of Short Films for the Offshore Achievement Awards

We were asked by creative agency Mearns & Gill to assist in writing scripts for the 2015 and 2016 Scottish Offshore Achievement Awards. The event, which has been running for the last 25 years, is managed by Mearns & Gill and has a shortlist of candidates over several award categories.

14 Optimized Website Pages Written for Nexus Surface Treatments

After agreeing on a structure for each page, we wrote 14 optimized web pages, which included meta information, page structure and primary keyword placement. As a result of our efforts, The Nexus website now ranks on the first page of Google for almost all of its targetted keywords.

We were asked by creative agency Mearns & Gill to write a series of press releases to announce the winner of the St Andrews Prize in 2016. The copy included a summary of all the finalists’ achievements and contributions to the environment.

As a copywriting studio that specialises in writing for the energy sector, we were asked by Omexom to write the copy for the launch of their new website. They needed a tone of voice that reflected their position as a leading electricity provider to local authorities in hard to reach areas of the world.

Explainer Video Script Written for Vryhoff, Oil Field Equipment Supplier

We were asked by graphic designer Stefan Wittekamp, from Scheef Idee Producties, to write a 4-minute video script for his client Vryhoff’s new product. Working closely with Stefan, we wrote a video script that took complex, technical information and made it simple and easy-to-understand.

Thought Leadership Article on Energy Regulation for Oxera Consulting and Utility Week

We were asked by Oxera Consulting to assist in writing a thought leadership article about energy regulation in Europe. The article was used as a whitepaper on Oxera’s website and an edited version was published in Utility Week magazine.

A Corporate Brochure for International Energy Trading House DXT Commodities

Energy trading company DXT Commodities required a corporate brochure for its European services. After analysing the company’s competitors, we helped position DXT in the marketplace through our tone of voice guidelines. We used these guidelines to form the basis of their 10-page brochure.

After your first draft, we offer amendments until you’re happy with the final results.

How Much Does Energy Copywriting Cost?

 

We believe in being as up front as possible when it comes to pricing. Our day rate is £400 and we provide a price per project, so you’ll know exactly how much the work will cost up front. Some of the factors that we consider when pricing for education copywriting include:

 

  • How much content is required for the project
  • The number of words required
  • How much research is involved
  • Whether tone of voice guidelines are required
  • Whether on-page SEO should be considered
  • How many revisions are needed
  • The project deadline

 

To provide some context, here’s an overview of what we charge for different types of energy and environmental copywriting:

 

Basic website copywriting package – 5 pages, e.g. Home page, About page, Service pages x3, including briefing session, research, ongoing correspondence, 3 rounds of revisions.

 

Cost: £2,000.

 

Short energy whitepaper – Around 2,000 words including all research, gathering statistics, case studies, conducting interviews, revising and editing, 3 rounds of revisions.

 

Cost: £1,600.

 

4-page energy brochure – Around 1,000 words including briefing session, all research, ongoing correspondence, 2 rounds of revisions.

 

Cost: £800.

 

Thought leadership articles – An 800-1,000-word blog post, well-researched, appropriately cited sources, 2 rounds of revisions.

 

Cost: £300.

 

Our prices include all ongoing correspondence with the client, editing, proofreading and amendments.
