16 Product Descriptions, Brand Storytelling and Website Copy for Character Design Company Wakster

Wakster is a character design agency based in the UK.


The Brief

We made contact with the creator of Wakster through an online business forum when we were first starting out with Brand New Copy. A few months after offering to do some video script writing for free to help us build our portfolio, Phillipe contacted us to write the website copy for his roster of characters. The copy was to contain storytelling elements that captured the personalities of each character set and explained how they would benefit businesses.

The Outcome

In total, we wrote the 16 character descriptions for Wakster that are currently used on their site. After careful consideration, we agreed that the best approach would be to position them based on their unique personalities and drive home their benefits in a CV/Interview style format.The client was happy with the results and was impressed by the creativity used to sell the characters’ personalities. Our copywriting helped bring Wakster’s licensed characters to life and enabled the company to realise their characters’ unique selling potential.


With the descriptions’ strong calls to action, our copywriting continues to convert Wakster’s website visitors into paying customers. Our script writing also resulted in the creation of a new character called Alan, who now features in Wakster’s own promotional marketing material, helping the company to secure more commissions.
