Technology Case Study Writing for Riverbed

Riverbed provides software and services that help global businesses improve digital experience and network performance. The company’s Alluvio Aternity platform is used by major organisations to monitor and optimise IT services.

I was commissioned by London-based agency Design House to support Riverbed’s content marketing programme. The brief was to write a series of detailed customer case studies that would showcase real-world use cases and measurable benefits of the Alluvio Aternity product.

Helping prospective buyers understand product value

The case studies had to do more than tell a good story. They had to help prospective buyers understand how Alluvio Aternity could address their specific challenges, and why it was the right choice over competing solutions.

Working from interviews, technical material, and draft notes provided by Riverbed and Design House, I wrote clear, commercially-focused copy that highlighted both outcomes and process. The tone was adapted for an audience of CIOs, IT leaders, and technical decision makers.

A flexible writing process to support multiple stakeholders

As with many large B2B technology organisations, Riverbed’s case study process involves multiple internal stakeholders and partner organisations. I provided flexible support to the Design House team, adapting the writing process to fit the client’s review and approval workflows.

Projects covered organisations in sectors such as healthcare, financial services, local government, and manufacturing. In each case, the writing had to reflect the client’s terminology and priorities, while staying true to Riverbed’s positioning.

Outcome

The completed case studies have been used across Riverbed’s website, sales materials, and wider marketing campaigns. They continue to support the company’s lead generation efforts by giving prospective customers credible proof points from organisations similar to their own.
