Copywriting for Programme Pages and Prospectus Guides for The Australian National University

The Australian National University (ANU) is a public research university in Canberra.

ANU required a copywriter to refresh the content on its College of Law programme pages. The new content had to reflect the University’s values and provide a better fit for its new dynamic tone of voice. The pages also had to incorporate on-page SEO to increase their visibility in search rankings.

After an introductory call with the University’s Marketing and Communications Manager, I sent a proposed structure for each page. Once the structures were approved, I reworked the existing content and added new header sections to ensure the keywords were effectively targetted. Throughout the rewrite, I used the University’s recently-updated brand guidelines and tone of voice guide to ensure consistency across each page.

Once the programme pages were approved, I used the content to form the basis of three prospectus guides that were to made available as digital downloads and printed brochures. The University was delighted with the final copy and how it appealed to their target audience.
