How much do you charge?
As a general rule, I charge £40 an hour or £300 day rate. However, if you have a larger project that you’d like me to work on, I would quote a ‘per project’ price. For more information on recommended copywriting rates, see the Professional Copywriters Network.
Why don’t you charge per word?
Charging by the word suggests copywriting is a commodity rather than a professional service. Every project is different, therefore every project requires appropriate research time in order to ensure your copy is high quality. Pricing by the word puts the focus on the quantity, whereas we focus on the quality. Believe it or not, a three word slogan can sometimes take longer to create than several pages of content.
How can I get a quote from you?
How long does my copy take?
The first thing we ask is when your deadline is. As long it’s not too last minute, we’ll have your copy ready for then. If you don’t have a deadline, we would provide you with an estimate of how long it will take and will keep you posted on our progress.
What if I’m not happy with my first draft?
We offer unlimited amendments until you’re happy with your final copy.
How do you take payment?
For new clients, we request a 50% deposit before we start working on your copy. Once your project is completed and you’re happy with your final draft, we issue an invoice with 7 days to pay. We accept payments by Paypal or bank transfer.
Do you do all your own SEO?
Yes I do. I have experience of developing websites so I know what’s involved with the marketing side. I understand how search engines work and can ensure that your content is well-optimized.
How many people work at Brand New Copy?
It’s just me. However, I do have a network of other professionals that I often look to for advice.
